Biography

Dr. Pollard is a board-certified radiation oncologist who grew up in Lithia Springs, GA. He received a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Magna Cum Laude) from Morehouse College, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He received his medical doctorate as well as his philosophical doctorate in molecular physiology and biological physics from the University of Virginia. After medical school, Dr. Pollard completed a preliminary medicine internship at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD as well as residency training in radiation oncology at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Pollard treats a wide range of cancers and is proficient in the latest radiotherapy techniques, including intensity-modulated radiation therapy, volumetric modulated arc therapy, interstitial and intracavitary brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and stereotactic body radiation therapy. Dr. Pollard is devoted to patient-centered, multidisciplinary, evidence-based cancer care.

Every patient seen by Dr. Pollard is treated with the utmost kindness and respect, and he works hand in hand with them and their families to navigate treatment. Dr. Pollard has been nominated by his peers and colleagues as an Atlanta Magazine “Top Doctor” since 2022. In his spare time, Dr. Pollard enjoys reading, exercising, watching movies, playing golf, and being the ultimate Atlanta Falcons fan. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
