    Biography

    David Yoo, MD PhD has been board-certified since 2010. Prior to joining Cancer Center at Lawrenceville, Dr. Yoo was on faculty at Duke University Medical Center in Durham and also worked at the VA Medical Center. He transitioned to Duke Raleigh Hospital in 2018 to establish the Stereotactic Radiosurgery program in Wake County and provide subspecialty care for patients with cancers of the head and neck, skin, lung, and lymphoma. He is a proponent of academics and research, publishing multiple articles and chapters on the role of functional imaging and targeted therapies in radiation therapy to improve patient outcomes and personalize care.

    He was born in Seoul, Korea and emigrated to the United States in 1973. He grew up in Houston, Texas prior to leaving for Duke in 1989. He lives in Duluth with his wife and three children. He enjoys golf and watching college basketball.
